To reduce maternal mortality ratio and infant mortality rate under RCH-II programme of NRHM, the Urban Health Society (CPMU), Municipal Corporation (room no 118) , Junagadh is running different types of programmes and schemes as below.
1. 5 Urban Health Centers- Providing primary health facilities to slum or slums like area (aim at poor people of the city area).
2. Mamta day and Immunization sessions- Providing vaccines to children & ANCs, ANC check up & IFA tablet distribution, counseling and IFA tables distribution to adolescent girls.
3. Health awareness programmes & surveys- Conducted by health workers/ link workers at slum or slums like area.
4. Health camps- Providing specialty and superspeciality health facilities to poor people in slum or slums like area as well as people in city area.
5. E-mamta programme- Mother and child tracking programme (online registration of pregnant mothers & children done at UHC level).
6. School health programme- Conducted by staff of all urban health centers. Aims at free health check up of all school going & non school going children with superspeciality health facilities at U.N. Mehta Hospital, Ahmedabad.
7. Integrated Disease Surveillance Project � Collection of information of epidemic diseases currently present in the area of all urban health centers & compilation of the information & sending the information to state level for trend analysis of diseases.
